Who we are

Vlogit, Inc. (“Vlogit”, “we”, “us”) is building a daily group-vlogging app. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, participate in our community, or use our app (once available).

Information we collect

• Waitlist & contact: if you join our waitlist or email support, we collect your email and any details you provide.
• Community: participation in our Discord server is governed by Discord’s policies; we may see your handle and messages within our server.
• App data (when launched):
  - Basic profile info (name, email/phone)
  - User-generated content: videos, snippets, and other content you choose to upload or share within the app (when released). These are stored securely to provide the service (e.g. saving your vlogs, enabling group members to view them).”
  - Comments/reactions, group membership.
  - Contacts access (to find friends) will always be opt-in.
  Since we are still in the process of developing the application, this information is subject to change.
• Payments: supporter subscriptions/donations are processed by Discord, Stripe, and/or BuyMeACoffee. We receive limited records (e.g. transaction status) and do not store full card details.
• Analytics & log data: we use Cloudflare, Firebase, and related services to collect standard technical info such as IP address, browser, OS version, app usage events, and crash reports.

How we use information

• Provide and improve the app, site, and community features;
• Communicate updates, respond to support, and send waitlist or product emails;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and policy violations;
• Comply with legal obligations.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

User choices & rights

• Waitlist emails include an unsubscribe link (managed by our waitlist provider).
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your information: privacy@vlogit.app.
• You may disable analytics/cookies through your browser or OS settings.

Children’s privacy

Vlogit is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers such as Firebase (analytics, crash reporting), Cloudflare (site analytics/CDN), Discord (community features, payments), Stripe (payments), and BuyMeACoffee (donations). Their use of data is governed by their own policies.

Mobile data charges

You are responsible for any carrier charges you may incur when using our services, including data, SMS, or MMS fees.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice. Please check this page for updates. When we are ready to release our beta, this policy is subject to updates.
